About Louise Marie Crochet
Our Story
At Louise Marie Crochet, we have a life long love of all things crochet! Like most crafters, I was first taught to crochet by my grandmother at just 9 years old. Over the years, my love for the craft has grown along with my creativity and skill set. This led in to a thirst for educating others, passing along the skills that I have learned and nurturing that love for creativity in others.
Seeing learners reach the same milestones, push themselves creatively, manifest their ideas in to a physical item and glow with a sense of achievement that only comes from the absolute certainty that everything is right, renews my love for crochet all over again.
Crochet is more than just yarn and a hook - it is art, well being, confidence, peace and many other things. Above all it is available and accessible to all.
Our aim is to continue passing along that knowledge and skill set, encouraging that passion for creating beautifully crafted items.
Our in-person courses take place at venues around East Yorkshire. Each course is made up of weekly 2 hour sessions and covers a different topic each time, expanding your skills in a fun and light hearted environment.
For the more experienced crafter, a range of patterns are available for various skill levels, with new selections regularly added.
